If you are like most people who have lost business or a job because of the BP Oil Spill, you are dealing with the GCCF to get compensated for your losses. Filing a GCCF claim is a complicated process because they often delay you by requesting more documentation, or they try to pay you a tiny fraction of what you really lost. This site is here to help you figure out the best ways to deal with the GCCF and get a fair payment for what you lost.
What Kind of Help Can I Get with the GCCF?
This site has information on exactly what documents the GCCF needs for your specific claim, which will help you prevent the GCCF using lack of documents as an excuse for delaying your claim. We update it regularly to make sure you know everything you need to know to get a fair deal from the GCCF. We also have a free case review box on the side of the page if you’d like to get a professional legal opinion about your claim.
Having an attorney represent your claim with the GCCF often helps it to move more quickly, and helps to stop the GCCF from trying to lowball you with their quick pay scheme. Don’t go it alone! There is help out there for you so you aren’t alone against BP and the GCCF. All the paperwork it takes to file a claim can be complicated, and one mistake can be the difference between getting all the money you deserve and getting delayed or lowballed. That’s why it pays to be sure you know everything in advance.

How to Get GCCF Info From This Website
There are several posts on this page for different professions, like deckhands, shrimpers, etc. All you have to do is scroll down the page until you see the post that applies to you. It will explain in full detail what paperwork you need to file your GCCF Claim and where to send it. You can also just fill out the free case review box and a legal expert will contact you shortly to help you sort through everything. No matter what you decide to do, make sure you read about some the GCCF’s tricks to make sure you don’t get cheated before you sign anything they give you.
The GCCF has been known to give people money for lower, personal claims when a person also has a business claim. Once they sign off for the personal claim, they unknowingly also signed off for their business claim that they didn’t get paid for. It’s dirty tricks like these that doing some research on this website and elsewhere will help you catch.
Anything Else I Should Know About the GCCF?
The GCCF is not independent of BP, so they are doing their best to delay and deny as many claims as possible. Keep in mind when you’re working with them that they are there to serve BP’s interests, not yours. The reason they keep delaying is because the longer you wait, the more desperate you will get as bills come due. Once you are desperate enough, the GCCF will offer you a low $5,000 personal quick pay or $25,000 business quick pay. Even though it’s probably nowhere near what you lost, the GCCF is counting on you taking it just because you’re desperate.
If you can, stick it out, get some help, and tell the GCCF that you’re not settling for a dollar less than what you’re owed.
